I remember reading in SMR magazine a few months back there was a guy who had hundreds of complete sets of autographed cards that was auctioned off. I wonder if this came from there?

All the same, an amazing auction. I'm hoping it isn't broken up.

I was scrimping, saving, and trying to come up with any way possible to afford that set. I ended up getting knocked out of the bidding early on that night (at about $6500). Instead, I ended up winning the 1960 Nu set instead. 2 Mantles, a Robinson, Fox, Stengel, and a whole host of other goodies. Sorry to say, but it's going to be broken up at some point in the future.

That's sounds like a lot of money to me. Good to see vintage is staying steady or going up in value.
