An original and a counterfeit...

These two coins are both pretty rare. The coin was issued by the Habsburgs who ruled Venice at the time.
One is an original and the second a contemporary counterfeit.

The first is the original:

1800 1 Lira, Venice.

And the counterfeit, made of copper:

The coins are actually the same size, the difference is just the size I made the two images...

    Funny. If you had posted the two together without captions, and said "choose which is original and which is counterfeit", I would've gotten 'em backwards.

    The counterfeit looks quite convincing though.
