Another reality series that follows five families that revolve around the athletic careers of their young kids.....we've got two boys (an 8-yo wide receiver and a teen figure-skater) and four girls (an 8-yo cheerleader, two teen equestrian sisters, and a high-school basketball player).
Of the six kids being profiled, only the female hoopster and the two equestrians seem to have any kind of talent at all (this coming from a guy who knows nothing about equestrian riding, but the girls do seem to know what they're doing).
The other three kids seem downright sad.....the WR is being hounded by his dad who had one main regret in life...that he never made it to the NFL.....yeah right! Take one look at this guy and you'll see why he's delivering pizzas for a living in his early 40s. The figure skater looks like he's out on the ice in a pair of goalie boats with two left feet (but he does look good in a ruffled puffy shirt) and the 8-yo cheerleader and her squad keep getting encouraged by their coaching staff to "go out there with attitude".......exactly what attitude that is escapes me, but let's just say it could pass for being included on a special report on MSNBC's Dateline about child prostitution in Cambodia.
It's worth a watch...espcially for you psychotherapists out there......most of these kids will be seeing a shrink for years with these kind of parents.
