You have in your collection that you enjoy the most?
Maybe it was the most difficult to obtain, the most expensive, the Highest Grade, Low pop Common.
PICs if you have them..
Stone: This is going to kill you to have to decide..isn't it.

Well, I picked up this card for 30 bucks at Rotman's around 92-3 and had it graded last year - I knew it was nice but didn't look close at it - turns out to be a 9! That's a 700 buck card...treasures in the attic!
I'm a big Clemens fan and being a veteran of the first Gulf War (USMC, 4th MEB), this set has special meaning to me.
I know its on a lot of people's lists, but I am a Chicago guy and this is from a set I put together in 87! I wish I kept all the cards that passed through my hands that year. I was 11 and after the SI "A Star is Born" I was taken. Michael Jordan. Corners, edges and surface are TIGHT, but centering . If I only knew how important that would become! I grew up and my folks still live 2 blocks from his first house in the Chicago suburb.

ok, seriously..
just one? too many to name just one.. but here's a couple of my more recent favorites (that i have scans of):
not super expensive, not too difficult to obtain, not high grade, not low pop.. but still a personal favorite :
The front of the card feels like a painting. There were only 10 made.
It was almost 10 years between getting the Mantle and Killebrew autographs before I got the Mays signature. I took a bus trip to NYC to a card show at the Hotel Pennsylvania to get Mays to sign it. Little did I know at the time, but it was one of the last autographs shows he did.
Other days of the week could result in any of the following cards being the one I enjoy the most:
1939 Play Ball Ted Williams Autographed Rookie Card
1957-58 Topps Bill Russell Autographed Rookie Card
1970 Topps Thurman Munson Autographed Rookie Card
1994 Upper Deck Michael Jordan Autographed Rookie Baseball Card
1992 Upper Deck Ted Williams "#1 of 2500"
1994 Upper Deck Mantle/Griffey Jr. Dual Autographed card
2001 Upper Deck PP Jackie Robinson Cut/Bat card - only 10 made. The best card I've ever pulled from a pack.

Mike ... Outstanding Baylor. I've been wanting to start the 61 Fleer set and now I may have to.

JR
Didn't you have a sweet 53T Mantle? >>
I did indeed, Mike, and then I sold almost all of my 53 Topps. Best card I ever owned up to that point. It was almost as nice as IJLC's.
As for Rollins himself, he's not a Hall of Famer or anything, but he won the Hart Trophy for '53-54 despite playing on a pathetic Black Hawks team. He must've stood on his head night after night since it just doesn't seem possible for a goalie with a 12-47 record to be the league MVP.
And thanks, Bob.
Now the card has more meaning to me - that's a great card!
JR
That Jackie is sweet - I'm the Brooklyn fan here!
Knucks
Are you doing the entire OPC set - nice Gretsky - that card I can identify with even if I can't smell the ice!
Sean
The 68T autos - what can I say but I'ld love to have it - I just picked up a litho with Mantle, Mays and Snider - not psa/dna but looks real good and I trust the guy.
Zef
Do you think the MJ card would be a higher grade if centered better?
Perry
The Wahoo card is too cool - it looks better than a 7?
Knglerxt
I'm a Braves fan - I have a lot of cards but not that one - very nice.
Brian - Corn
What can I say about the Clemente other than send it my way if you get tired of it!LOL
Matt
That Clemens XRC is really nice - tremendous centering.

Are you doing the entire DS set graded? I was over in Saudi then and the cards were being sent home by us collectors real fast. My son made a bundle!
These threads are always a favorite of mine!
There's just so many great cards to see - thanx for sharing

Mike,
No, I don't do sets.. I like collecting the odd visually appealing card/rookie card of star players here and there. Really nice 9 Baylor by the way.
The only set I would like to do would be 1954-55 Topps.. beautiful design and great images of the players.
I am to blind to see your Vick. That red an blue combo is
a little bright. J/K.
Stone- I think so but I tend to think that PSA would not.
For any who love that 86-87 fleer set here are the rest of my stars.

My '55 Koufax is my personal favorite. When I started collecting Dodger team sets in earnest (soon after I joined OBC), there were a ton of cards I never dreamed I'd own. I almost didn't put sets on my list from before 1960 because when you collect certain teams, specifically Dodgers and Yankees, there always seems to be a premium on the cards. Koufax rookie - no way I'm ever going to own one. Well, long story short, a good friend sent me the card below as a gift, nothing expected in return (the magic of OBC!). This was probably five years ago, and I'm still in awe of this card. I'm still in awe of the random act of generosity and kindness my friend showed me. It was been abused over the 50 years of its existence, or well-loved if you prefer. I remember the giddiness I felt when I opened the bubble mailer and saw it. Jumping up & down, yelling, huge grin plastered on my face. I showed it to my family, who were underwhelmed to say the least. I'm sure many here have family members that tolerate our passion, but don't really understand it.
Anyway, here's my favorite card. Another one I love is my '53 Bowman Color Pee Wee Reese, which is a wonderul card. I paid for that one, so it doesn't hold the same feeling for me.
Dodgers collection scans | Brett Butler registry | 1978 Dodgers - straight 9s, homie
This is my first attempt to attach a file on this site so forgive me if I screw it up. In any case, this 1976 Topps Carew #400 is my own personal favorite for a few reasons: 1) the year I started collecting was 1976, 2) Carew was my favorite player way back then, and 3) this card was included in my very first PSA 6-card submission and was my first PSA 10. On the same submission, I also included a 1977 Topps Brett #580 that was graded a 10. Now, many, many submissions later, I am just beginning to realize how lucky I really was...
Edited: The scan isn't so great but I will try to do better next time.
