A Cubby fan in LaLaLand - did you know the Cubs used to train on Catalina? That we had a Wrigley Field right in the heart of Hollyweird?
as far as the show - it's expensive and a crap shoot. You're up against the top dealers in the country in an enormous venue where most people don't have the time to hit every table.
See you there.

I'll be going to this years in Chicago even though I was disappointed with the Cleveland show last year. My want list has changed drastically from a year ago, so I'll be on the prowl for some items that I have been eluding me for years. Hopefully I'll be able to find one or two of them in Chicago, and it won't bother me to pay an arm & a leg for them.
However, as Mark said, it's expensive... a lot of the dealers ask top dollar for all their cards, both the tough ones and the ones you can find any day on eBay for 60-70% of what they are asking for them. You really have to know your stuff and go in knowing what you're looking for and what you're looking to spend if you find the card or item.
