What? Is someone talking about me?

Hey wuf, been away for a while doing so-called responsible things like working and stuff (well if you can call playing poker working), but I recently busted a whole bunch of stuff I can't wait to share. While I've somewhat conceded that I don't have the time to pursue my lifelong dream of busting vintage wax for profit-- some dare to call it the impossible dream-- I still break down every now and then and throw good money away on a random assortments of cardboard with athlete's likenesses on them. Once I can get some scans up, I'll tell yall all about my recent busts, including some packs of 86/87 Fleer basketball (it has always been a fantasy of mine to bust some) and other crap.

Coming back here and to the hobby, I feel like an old WWF wrestler coming back after a long break from an injury. Some clown standing in the ring screaming "Who dares to challenge me?" and my music comes on and Gorilla Monsoon screams "COULD IT BE? OH MY GOD, IT's CDSNUTS!!!" And then I run to the ring and beat the guy in 8 seconds. Yeah, that's right. Whatcha gonna do brother?

If CoolHL = Dopple - then that should also be Beachbum I believe.

He was very interesting - very intelligent and controversial.

One of the best wars we ever had here was between Roach and Beach.

Another interesting one occurred when we posted pics and someone said that Beach looked like Liberace!

Wasn't it RobE who reported about the kid who was sick and was a Jeter fan?

I rarely see Zardoz here altho he is a moderator here - or used to be?

Aknot returned while I was gone - the sig line was his artwork - he was a good guy.

A good guy who didn't last here was Bearsnum - I believe he was from El Paso.

I also like Cornholio who rarely posts anymore.

    Hi Jeb!

Coolhandluke was kicked off the boards and then came back as Beachbum. After the Roach/Beachbum flame wars, things cooled down. CoolHandLuke became Doppelganger as the third incarnation.

I think he is a lawyer by profession and an excellent ebay seller---having amassed over 500 positive feedbacks and only one negative from Roach as retaliation.

What happened to Gemmy10? He has disappeared too.

I hear from RobE every once and a while- he's doing well, working quite a bit.
Zardoz is on the open forum hourly, haven't seen many card posts from him on these boards. Truly a great guy and a funnier man doesn't exist.

Always looking for Topps Salesman Samples, pre '51 unopened packs, E90-2, E91a, N690 Kalamazoo Bats, and T204 Square Frame Ramly's

i thought AKNOT disappeared after SHOULDACOULDA called him to the carpet about being TONKA or something to that affect and give a brief history of his dealings.

    Thanks,

He's here, especially over in Sports Talk.

He did? I must of missed that. I always wondered how he made out with that massive lot of modern raw he bought from Ebay.

Haven't seen him post in ages - liked to read his insight on modern cards, especially as he was a card shop owner.

What ever happened to Vince Carder? He was solid, informative poster. I also really enjoyed JRDolan's posts, although he seems to have disappeared as well.

I believe the guy who gave cards to his students was YDSodder (sp?) I remember he had a '70 or '71 Walt Frazier as his icon. I also which DGF would post more, but at least he hasn't disappeared altogether.

Beach = Cool = Hanger is accurate. I have a suspicion that a new ID is in play.
Proud of my 16x20 autographed and framed collection - all signed in person. Not big on modern - I'm stuck in the past!

Scott was never a board member in the true sense of a participator.

He only came on in defense of an attack that was made on his integrity.

I spoke with him a few times on the phone.

He's from Fla if I remember and does a lot of buying and selling - he is not a collector/hobbyist. He sees this as strictly a way to make a living.

    Thank you Boopotts,

ydsotter is who I was thinking of. He was a great guy with good contributions.
