Sorry, another gripe.

Sorry, I hate to complain, but this also bugs me. Please sellers take a picture of the whole card, do not cut of any of the borders trying to crop in so close on the card and please do not use a white background when you have a card with white borders.

Who are you talking to? Please read your 1st sentence to yourself and see if it is true or not. I think you might find that you love to complain but you complain to the wrong people.

Ok, let me state is this way, how about a little constructive criticism to those selling on Ebay. Those images do not show that well, here is the link. I can not see the bottom border on the Mantle because of the white background and the top of the border is cropped off. I see this a lot on Ebay. Place cards on a darker background so I can see white border easier and do not cut of the card in the image. Just some advice then and not a complaint.

Your complaint is valid; this may just be the wrong place to find a solution.
Ebay is rife with poorly scanned cards.
Why not just email sellers and request a better scan?

    I will from now on.
    Good for you.
  • Some sellers do it accidently with no harm intended. Others try to hide faults or crop the card so it has four perfect corners, but if they added the 1/8 inch to the photo it would show the dings or rounded points. Those who do it accidently will usually send you another scan. Those who dont wont reply.....

I guess I should have worded my original thread differently. I guess my first thought is when I see an image were part of the border is cut off is that the seller does not want me to see that for some reason? WinPitcher, good luck on selling that 67 set though, are you not looking at completing it at this point?

I would venture a guess that those people selling cards with poor scans like that are not the same people who frequent these boards. I tend to believe that most everyone here is above that level.
