Baseball Cards 1989 - 1994

I was approched by an guy about buying his collection, he does not collect any more and he want's to get rid of his cards. My question is how much should I offer for his collection. He said that he has around 10,000 cards. I will see them in a couple of days. It does not sound like there sorted, so would it be worth it to by his collection? Thanks for any reply's.

Everything from that ERA was so over produced, the only cards that I'd even consider to be worthwhile would be the 91 Topps Desert Shield. Maybe even the Topps Tiffanys or 90 Leaf's, but that's about it. I suppose if you're just collecting for fun, it doesn't really matter.

Are they loose or are they sealed boxes, sets, etc?

I would be inclined to pass, unless he has a bunch of '93 SP's.

  • They were tough back then, but check for 1993 Finest Refractors.

Unless you have the time to go through all of them, how will you know what to offer him? I have 4 large tupperware type containers in my basement that have sets and cards from that ERA that I have not done a thing with in 10 years. Wife wants them out of the basement, I keep stallling.image
