PSA Centering

A PSA 1 grade requires 90/10 centering. What happens if I submit a card with 98/2 centering and request no qualifiers? A PSA 0? image

    Probably 25.00 down the drain with an ungraded card in a return box..............

    Really? They wouldn't just give it a 1?

    I've never thought of sending in my Mantles missing whole corners etc.. Would they not grade them?

    Wow knuckles...I don't think there's anymore room for
    cracks/wrinkles or crinkles as I like to use on poor Georges.
    Why wouldn't they grade it? I thought 1 is the lowest you can
    get for any hideously abused card. If they don't grade it, roll it
    up and smoke it.

    I would think the old rule of paper currency would apply... as long as over 50% of it is there, it's legal tender.

    Since PSA 1 includes both fair and poor cards, it would still grade a 1, as long as it's genuine.

    This thread illustrates a point I have made in the past, that PSA should have designed separate numerical grades for fair vs poor cards, i.e., 1 poor, 2 fair, etc.

    I think PSA labels hideous cards as "authentic" instead of a 1

    Why does PSA lump Poor and Fair into the same grade? Those are different grades.
