What does he do for a living. There are just some commons that are hard to find, hopefully when it comes for me to have to buy them a few more might be graded.
The winner is one of the nicest guys in the entire hobby. He is a lawyer by trade - and his personal letter response to me when I wrote him in 1998 as a fresh graduate from college is one of the reasons I got back in the hobby. Yes, he has an extensive and wonderful collection - but I can think of very few other collectors who are so willing to share and so dedicated to the hobby in general. Mark him down as one of the good guys in the world.

I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.
If it makes you feel any better...I just got smoked on the 1967 Mel Queen ISL PSA 8. It went for a mere $281. It was probably going to go for $5 more than I bid regardless. I had a sick feeling about the Queen when I saw the Priddy go so high. Losing that one will allow me to add a 1964 Tallboy down the road.
