Prince Rudolf/Princess Stephanie medal/coin

I have a medal/coin that is in honor of Prince Rudolf marriage to Princess Stephanie in 1881.

The front of the medal has their portraits and the reverse has these words: ZUR ERINNERUNG AN DIE VERMAHLUNG DES KRONPRINZEN RUDOLF MIT PRINZESSIN STEPHANIE 1881

Any information anyone can provide will be appreciated.

Thank you.

A hearty welcome to the Darkside, Maw! Please stick around and we'll try to be as helpful as possible.

I don't know anything about the medal/coin that you possess. I would assume that if it has a denomination on it, it's a coin. Otherwise, it's a medal or token related to the wedding. The text translates as follows: "In memory of the marriage of the crown prince to princess Stephanie, 1881". Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

I did a google on "1881 Rudolf Stephanie" and came up with several hits. Haven't spotted the medal itself yet, but I've only clicked the first result so far and came up with this nice history of the medal's subject, to include his marriage: Crown Prince Rudolf History
