1948-P PCGS MS66 FS Jefferson Nickel....this is a registry quality coin with only 10 graded MS66FS by PCGS and none higher. The only recent sales record for a 1948-P PCGS MS66FS Jefferson nickel I could find was $2070 in a March 2004 Heritage auction.

    Only 5 of the 10 are in registry sets, what does that tell you. How many of those coins were submitted twice or 3 times for a 67 grade? Pops are closer to 6 or 7 IMO. The coin and strike really needs to be all there without destracting marks to get that price. This is what a serious collector looks for, for his money!
