Worth liberating this Saxony piece?

Just checking to see if anybody else thinks it would be worthwhile to liberate this Saxony 3 Marks from its plastic tomb ...

These are fairly common coins and can be easily found. Most of the ones I see at shows are about half this price. It maybe the photo, but it looks like rub on the reverse eagles breast shield and also on the crown above the eagles head.

What's the going rate for one of these outside the slab? I know that I hate the evil empire and have been tempted on a couple of pieces, but both were vastly over-priced for the coin that was contained in the slab....

Krause is listed in the $30 range. Most I see at the shows are in that price range, unless its a proof.

Thought most of his items seemed over priced ... just not that many darkside dealers at the local show I attend.

Guess I will have to broaden my travels a little bit to take in some additional coin shows ...
