Hi all, Im new here!!

Hey everyone, I have been reading through the forum for a while. I really like it here and have decided to join. I am 16 and have been collecting coins since i was about 9. I dont have much money to spend on coins (gotta save up for a car) but i try to get some new ones every now and then. I just love the history behind them. It is really fascinating (history is my favorite subject). Thanks in advance for any responses.

    I also started out with a wheat cent collection. I like collecting a little of everything though. I have a few morgans, peace dollars, ikes suzy b's, Buffalo nickels, a lot of silver stuff, state quarters, commemoratives, silver eagles. Wow, thats a lot. I guess i just collect everything that i like.

    I know what you mean but i would rather buy coins, but i know i cant cause my mom said that if i do shes not gonna let me use her car. so i kinda have no choice. Haha, o well. Thanks for all the great replies guys!!!

    At your present age, your very diverse collecting interests are probably what is most recommended. Spread yourself around, look at lots of things, and take lots of time to decide what interests you most. You can always specialize later. The most important thing is to have fun with your hobby.

    Welcome aboard. I just got interested in collecting coins as a result of being ask to sell some coins from my Mother-in Law's Estate. While researching the coins and their value I found a few that I will keep. I now find myself looking at my pocket change. By the way I am 55 and I really enjoy the boards.
