Personally, I would stick to a known brand, like those mentioned in previous posts (Nikon, Ricoh, Canon, etc.).

I've never heard of Megxon, I would do check them out if you are serious about that particular camera. Cannot quite figure out why the 7.0 megapixel only has a 1X digital zoom.

Try doing a search for cameras under this forum, you should find lots of opinions!

I have a HP photosmart R707 camera but the macro function, focus isn't good enough.

Do any of you use macro lenses such as this?

I would prefer NOT to buy a new camera, if a lens like this would do the trick.
