Huh - the NGC site has changed

robertprrobertpr Posts: 6,862 ✭✭✭
Well don't beat me up if this has already been posted but it looks like NGC has made some visual improvements to their site. It also appears to be on a faster server now.

In addition, their census now includes a price guide.

Noticed that last week when I was checking pops on a coin image I think it happened over last weekend...

There is a notice at the top of the census page indicating that the pricing is provided by Numismedia.

It's just Numismedia's, so it's as accurate as that one ever was.

And it only goes to AU58 for free. For MS grades, you gotta subscribe...

Any Mac guys out there also having the Super Slow scrolling on the new NGC census pages?image There is definitely something wrong in the web site that seems to affect Macs. Same thing happened three years ago on the Corvette Forum but it was eventually corrected.

The NGC site while a little faster than before is still slower than PCGS. In fact, it still causes my computer to have convulsions when using a dial up.

Also I do not like the presentation of the wide screen pop reports. This forces yet another click to see the preferable printable version which fits the screen.

Suggestion to NGC, offer the viewer an option for either at the beginning of the sign-in session.

PCGS price sheets are still much easier on the eyes.

It would be nice for PCGS to offer pop reports as of January 1st of each year for grades from P-01 to MS-60 to the public for free.
