Yet another wasted start for Roger Clemens. Despite still being sore from the groin injury, the old man peeled off another great game, going 8 innings, striking out 7, and only allowing one walk and 2 runs. ERA is still a league leading 1.30.

The rest of the team, not surprisingly, didn't do SQUAT. In fact, as soon as he left, the Reds piled on another 7 runs.

Man, I thought Randy Johnson had it rough last year.

What do you expect when you lose that much of the line up? Beltran.. Gone. Kent... Gone. Bagwell... Gone. I know Bags isn't/wasn't the Bags of old but still a productive player. Additionally, Berkman was out and had a delayed return. The lineup is duct-taped with rookies and you can't expect them to be an offensive powerhouse.
