Auction House shipping charges

Please someone explain to me why one would be charged $15 for shipping for 1 PSA card with a final invoice price around $640?

Priority insured would be $12.55 on a single card. Registered mail would be over $13. That's my best guess.

Maybe they're going to FedEx the card to you? $10 bucks or so for that...

The charge might be for shipping and handling. Their shipping charges might also be on the final sale amount with a minimum of $15.

I was told that some of the larger auction houses has outside companies that do the shipping. So if this is true, there is more of an expense as more hands are in the cookie jar...jay

Thats a ridiculous amount. Also, if there paying for there shipping via outside resources, then let them pay the difference out of there 15%. If they're claiming they need the 15% to cover expenses and profit, then they can cutback on the amount of catalouges I receive. 4 for the Mile High Auction alone. I always get at least 2 from everyone but Mastronet. They send 1.
