The better question should be - Who cares? - this is directed at the first strike SAE's not at Braddick.

From what I heard, MS69/70 got graded (like mentioned, bulk grading or whatnot).
Below that was given BU.

Lower costs, done quicker. Welcome to drive through marketing.

ALL silver eagles sbmitted in Jan were eligible for the First Strike designation, but only those that graded 69 or 70 were given a grade. Al the rest are smple label Gem BU.

I agree--this applies to all moderns. But to each, his (or her) own. If you like collecting modern "stuff", go for it!
