A question about superior auctions...

I was looking at some morgans being auctioned by superior, and I noticed this disclaimer at the bottom of the listing-

In some cases the coin pictured is not the same as the coin delivered. It is always the same grade, service and value

I have never purchased from superior before- do they really switch coins and not send you the coin in the auction listing??

IMHO Superior is a bad company to do business with.
Their auctions are so full of mistakes they have to put that disclaimer in it.

Any statements made about condition, grading service or grade is always accurate. If we deliver any coin not as described you may return for a full refund. Not sure I understand the above,If there taking a picture of a coin,why can't they take the real coin

It should be noted that this is for an ebay sale, not one of their "regular" auctions. I have only won one auction from them. I thought it was strange that they didn't send a "winning bid" email. They sent the bill in the mail instead. Overall, worked out fine, but felt they did business a little strange.

Yep....If it's unacceptable for "Ma and Pa's really old coins" to swap coins on Ebay, then it's even more wrong for established companies.

I consigned 4 coins to this auction. All 4 were properly photographed and described in the catalogue. However, on the website the Morgan had it's PL designation dropped. I sent a email to the person who I consigned with and was provided with the email addresses to report auction mistakes to. So I did. But, nothing happened. So I did it again. But nothing happened again. I also sent in several other mistakes that might effect bids. These are my favorites, but not in a happy way. All Morgans.

Lot 4259 1879-S NGCMS66.....Picture NTC MS67 PL

Lot 4277 1880-S NGCMS66.....Estimated value: $48-$91 I guess the market did crash!

Lot 4325 1883 NGCMS64.......Picture 1893 GOLD $20

Lot 4339 1883-O PCGSMS64......Picture Reverse is the obverse upside down

Lot 4414 The picture sums up everything wrong. What the heck is it anyway?

Lot 4496 1901-O PCGSMS64.....Picture PCGSMS65

How are people suppose to place bids? Even just one mistake is one too many.

I was going to bid on a PCGS Lincoln that they had on Ebay but the title said the coin was a MS67RD and the picture was of a MS66RD. I emailed them and they said there was a mistake and they had the wrong picture and would fix it as the coin was supposed to be a 67rd. Then the very next day I get another email from them telling me that the picture is of a 66rd so why can't I figure it out that it is supposed to be a 66rd? Acting like I am stupid or something. When I emailed back telling them that they had already said it was a 67rd and it was the wrong picture and then they re-emailed me and said it was a 66rd, they told me I was mistaken that they did not tell me that. I sent them a copy of their email and they said they were going to cancel the auction because they did not have time to figure out what the problem was? They did not have time???? I'm not going to be buying from them any time soon!
