What new sets are you collecting?

I think most everyone agrees that the topps heritage product is a home run.
After that (as I am nearly done with the master set), what else should I look out for? Is the topps all time fan favorites worth a look? I am not looking for so much an investment (though I am sure sets like the heritage will surely appreciate over time), but something fun to collect.
The topps turkey red looks like a great set, but won't be here until August.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Has Fan Favorite baseball hit yet? That was fun last year - I didn't try to finish the set - no SP's I believe - but I did get a lot of nice autos!

Edited to add: I unfortunately opened a couple of boxes of UD Artifacts. Garbage -- but I have to finish the set. Hunting down a number of SPs from that release still.

<< <i>Well my Heritage master set is complete. I am not starting anythin new until my 78 set is AT LEAST 75 to 80% done. Hopefully by October! >>

When did you start the set?

<< <i>Mike, I started the set a week before Thanksgiving last year. >>
You want to finish it in less than a year! That's incredible...is that a minimum of 9? Are there any cards in the set that are really hard to find in 9?
mike
I started building a set of Finest refractors, mainly because I like the design (I like circles) but my enthusiasm is wearing off quickly. Fleer Flair was a sharp design, too, reminiscent of past SP Authentic sets. Cracker Jack seems more popular this year than last, but I personally like the busier design a lot less. There's always Topps Total at 770 cards.
Personally, I think you should collect Topps 206 Polar Bear minis because I still need a bunch to complete my set and I've run out of trading partners.
2005 Origins Old Judge Brown #/20 and Black 1/1s, 2000 Ultimate Victory Gold #/25
2004 UD Legends Bake McBride autos & parallels, and 1974 Topps #601 PSA 9
Rare Grady Sizemore parallels, printing plates, autographs
Nothing on ebay

I hadn't heard of those sets before...did a search...they look quite nice. Not sure I want to jump into trying to find unopened material from a few years back though.
Good luck with the set, though.
Mainly concentrating on the 1970's and 1980's . Im waiting for my next paycheck or the ok from the wife ( whichever comes first lol ) and then im going to join PSA again so i can send in some cards that i have laying around here. I have a 62 Don Perkins and a 69 Bob Lilly that i've been wanting to send in for a while. Both look to be decent cards so we'll see what happens
Axtell, i picked up a couple nice 85's the other night on Ebay . Tony Dorsett and Michael Downs , both PSA 9's . Props to you for making me realize how nice those cards really are
If anyone here has any Cowboys graded PSA 10 or 9 that they would consider either selling or trading please lmk

Thanks...and you're right, these cards truly are great ones...am glad you are happy with the pickup.
Fan favorites is a great set, the base sets are nice too. You can usually get an entire set with just a box of two. That Elway auto
will be en fuego!
I have quite a bit of 04 bow heritage and past T206/T205 stuff if anyone is doing a set. I would sell for cheap or trade, I would rather
help you all out rather than just have it sitting in a box..LMK
As for me it will be mostly all rookie products here on out...until heritage next year.
Kevin
Personally i dont like the Cracker jack and the turkey red set does not look very attractive to me.
Bowman Chrome is the best set to get rookie autographs , the bad thing is that it is kind of expensive, but i love it, ill probably get a case of that, or i dont if i should try bowman 05, the fan favorite looks good too.

Oh yeah, 165 RENNIE STENNETT , 221 CHRIS SPEIER , 330 BOB WATSON , 347 TERRY FORSTER , 402 DAVE CAMPBELL , 538 JOHNNIE LeMASTER , 642 DENNY DOYLE ,725 KURT BEVACQUA
These are cards with a pop of 3 and less in PSA 9. Not to mention MANY at 4 and 5. This set will not be easy to complete by any stretch of MY imagination!!!!!
My goal is not to finish it within a year but to be at 75 to 80% complete.
