OT: Roosevelt Dimes

Hello all.

I know I should ask this over on the Liteside forum, but folks over there scare me, so I'm looking for advice here instead.image

I want to buy a complete set of circulated Roosevelt dimes, 1946-64, 48 pieces. By circulated I mean VF or so.

Is this possible and if yes - where can I get them from? I checked out Ebay and there are a few complete sets out there, but I am not acquainted with the sellers and if there is another source I think I'd prefer it instead.

Edited to add: I'm looking to buy them at bullion or thereabout.image

Any coin dealers in your area? Also, I've seen such sets listed in Coin World all of the time. You might use these sources to establish a fair price and then try to get a good deal on ebay (uh, good luck on that!)

We sell complete sets of Rosies in Whitman or Dansco albums, but generally get more than "bullion" for them. I believe the last couple we sold went for about 7.5 times face.

    Is that face (i.e. 75 cents) or silver content (i.e. 7$ x 7.5 x 2.5g x 0.9 / 31.103 = $3.80 apiece)?

I'm talking of silver content which I would think should come about $30 for the complete set.

That would be 7.5 times the face value of the coins themselves, or 75 cents each. We sell pre-1965 Roosevelt Dimes in bulk at 50 cents each, but not in complete sets.

7.5x face means the cost per coin is 7.5 times its face value--in this case, 75 cents each.

Philip: So it would appear that you can get a set from Danglen. I highly recommend him!
