First darkside gold in a very, very long time.

I posted back in November how my state treasurer's website has an unclaimed property search function. Turned out there was $111.52 trying to find me in the form of a commission from a disability insurance policy I sold a decade ago. Got the check yesterday. Converted that paper into my first darkside gold in 20 years just a few moments ago:

    Thanks, Wybrit. I've been a gold hound and coin collector since I was a kid, but I don't believe I've ever owned a sovereign before. I would have preferred if it was slabbed since I'm not familiar with grading 'em. But I'm guessing it's a solid AU if not Unc, and that's cool with me since it was "free". I also thought the SA aspect of it was pretty neat.

    image I like changing paper into gold too image. Gold sovereigns are always nice.
