2005 Bison Two roll Sets - Opened one

Well, I got bored a few minutes ago and couldn't help but wonder if there was a gem in the box I had. So I decide to open the P-roll (tired of denver) and find nothing over a 65. Well that was a waste. Still though, I did observe that the coins in the mint roll were generally a little better than the bank roll ones. And boy does the mint sure wrap them a lot tighter than regular bank rolls (I like to keep the roll intact). It was fun though. Too bad it only took up about 10 min. I think I should probably open the denver one for the heck of it. You never know.

I've seen too many anticlimactic reports to open mine. They shall stay herded together in their rolls for now!

Ah go ahead..live it up. You might get lucky like I did with mint rolls.

Ok. Just opened and searched the denver roll. They were generally nicer than the P's but still nothing good. Although I did find one with the most amazing luster . Too bad it was scratched up. The scratches were not too deep but were plentiful. On a good day it might make 66 due to it's luster. At least I won't open my other boxes now. I need to find a dealer that will let me search through rolls. I can search pretty fast. I guess I will just wait and see whether PCGS will differentiate these new satin finishes from business strikes. If they don't then I will just wait for the sets.

Well in some other rolls I found what I believe to be a few MS66s. But I figure nothing below 67 is worth submitting.

I do not know the up to date pops for PCGS but I think NGC has nothing above 66 and that was 1 D-mint
Mine are PCGS...I'll take what I have and like you, see whats in the mint sets coming out

first bwr i opened had nothing over 64 i think,
second roll produced a couple 5-6s maybe.
the obverse seems to be the most critical part as most all the coins i looked at
had MS67-68 reverses. D rolls...

I completely agree. The reverses are all quite nice. That seems to be the general rule for many coins and is especially true in this series. I simple sort by obverse to go faster for these nickels. This is where 99% of all the marks were.
