Possible to remove a mold spot?

I know some of you guys are going to freak out with the whole altering bit, but I have a beautiful goudey that has multiple small (specks, 1mm or so in diameter) mold spots on the front that are distracting as hell. It is only a common, but its killing me.

Does anyone have any knowledge of how one may be able to remove the mold? I may ultimately sacrifice the card to save my sanity.

Here's one I read that you can try and if it doesn't work, you have nothing to lose.

It's used to remove mildew from pages in a book - lightly sprinkle the card with corn starch and leave on for a few hours and then lightly dust off.
