Kevin does that make it a Short Printed Short Print? Just think of some of the "base" cards that are almost impossible to find. I still think some of these cards are "regionally" distributed - most likely by accident of collation?

But, hey, that's part of the charm of the set.

What do you think about the T3 design? I know I will buy at least one hobby box and some retail - if the set isn't totally ridiculous to put together, I'm there - especially since I didn't do a regular Topps set this year.

I've noticed some other super SPs as well -

    20 Jim Edmonds
    130 Andruw Jones

    maybe 118 Magglio Ordonez?

I'm only 2 cards away from having all the SPs - but exactly 30 base cards short of a base set. I agree with Mike on the weird distribution. There are some cards I have 6-8 of, that I know a lot of people needed (Derrek leer, Damian Miller, Eric Hinske, etc.) You would think with all the modern technology available, they would find a way to avoid the "runs" of cards in packs, ie when I see a Lee card, I know I'm also about to pull a Miller, Glaus, Hinske, and Zambrano.

As far as base set cards, my mission in life is to pull them all myself. I think I only need to hit 1 or 2 runs of cards to have them all. Plus, not having base cards gives me a great excuse to buy more retail boxes.

  • Kevin,

I have an extra. I don't know if they all have the same problem but that is some nasty print quality on those. I'll send you one if your interested. PM me your address. I'm also not having any luck with the Andruw Jones and Magglio Ordonez SP's. image
