Another set completed. Oh Yeah!

Earlier this month I completed my 65 Philly Football set. Last night 1964 Philly football fell. Although I got lots of help from many of the same people who have either sold or guided me to many of the cards in my other Philly football sets, one person has helped me the most with the 64 Philly set. Kudos to Frank Evanovimage Frank has the #1 64 Philly football set and was always kind enough to notify me when he had dupes or any upgrades for my set. That's what this hobby is all about.
Now I just need to finish up 66 and 67 and my Philly journey will be over. Aside from the upgrades of courseimage

Congrats on the set. Just out of curiosity, which set of Phillies do you like the best. I have always liked the 66 set.

Thanks guys. 65 Philly is probably my favorite. I don't have a preference as to which one to finish next. It really just depends on when the cards become available. Ironically, when I first started these sets, it was with the intention of completing them in PSA 7. I believe 7's are the best value in the market. Than I got caught up with Registry feverimage and started going for 8's and 9's.
If anyone has any upgrades, please PM or email me.

Thanks for the kind words Frank.

Everyone should know that your's is only the second 100% set ever completed for 64 Philly. That's quite an accomplishment.

Always looking for 1957 Topps BB in PSA 9!

That is quite the accomplishment! Congrats! Those Philly sets are all great looking, especially in high grade! I saw a PSA 8 '66 Philly Sayers RC and that got me started on my All Time Rushers set. Now, I get a chance to buy that very card next weekend.

Keep up the good work! This sure is addicting!

  • Frank,
You are one scary collector. Congratulations. You've got your spot in the set-builders HOF locked.

Thanks DGF, but keep it quiet. My wife still thinks I only buy cards "occasionally"image

Please be kind to me. Even though I'm now a former postal employee, I'm still capable of snapping at any time.
