last year when he went into the stands---GREAT PLAY---against a dreaded rival, the cut-off in 2001 to get a steroid injected lazy jason giambi---great play in a crucial situation,BUT WHAT A HACK GIAMBI IS FOR NOT SLIDING OR KNOCKING OVER THE CATCHER.but this one yesterday,if he played any where but NY this would get a 10 second spin on web gems. probably not even the play of the day.talk about over hype!!!! IT WAS A NICE PLAY BUT COME ON!!!!! lets reserve the highlites for really great plays that decide games.

It's the east coast (specifically NY) bias that exists in the sports media...anything in NY that's even a blip on the radar is OH MY GOD DID YOU JUST SEE THAT! type of news. I mean hell, by the time the west coast games are on, these fogies are in bed dreaming.
It's sickening to a west-coaster, especially when some of the most exciting players in the league (namely Ichiro) are making amazing plays nightly, but you'll rarely see them on TV.
