School project (kind OT)
Hello guys!
The school is almost finish, so I have a project in Internet class which is to make a website.
I can choose any topic for the website.
Therefore, I have a though that to make a website about coins.
I am planning to post as much numismatic information(such as shows, coin mintage, numismatic links) as I can on the webiste.
I am not sure if that is a good idea.
Please tell me what you think.
Thanks.

Although there are a lot of WEB sites with Coin Show information, you could focus around your collecting specialty
that is what I did with mine, there is a link below....
Good luck and have fun.....
I am sure I won't make a great one as yours with my limit website knowledge.
ask jeeves This is the search site I used.

If you don't already have it, I'd recommend grabbing a copy of Macromedia Dreamweaver. If you plan on continuing with web design it is a very helpful tool (plus you can impress your teacher with geeky talk about it
For the website, keep it simple for now.. focus on a single country. Things to include:
First, general background on numismatics (remember your audience is likely not familiar with the topic!), including basic terms and such;
links to official sites, not just the mints but maybe also news articles on economic policy as it effects coinage (usually this stuff is linked from the official minting authority's site);
a brief history of your region (cut & paste Wikipedia) and more specific numismatic history in links or your own words;
links to dealers (include comments on the dealer's range of stock, etc);
and, of course, galleries! (if you need more pics, don't be afraid to ask here!)
Hmm... what else?
Are you required to include any dynamic content? (DHTML, Java, ASP, PHP, etc) I can give some ideas on that too.Keep us updated! I'm interested
