question for team set collectors

hi - i was curious if a tiffany card will work the same as a reg version of the card for a tem set - for ex can i use an 86 topps tiffany gary carter in the 86 mets team set ? or does it have to be the regular issue 86 topps card ? - thanks
collecting:
1990 leaf in (10)
1986 topps mets (10)
2008 ring kings cut signatures
any Darryl Strawberry, Dwight Gooden, Keith Hernandez cards in (10)

    I have never tried using a Tiffany card but I would imagine that it has to be regular issue for the regular team sets. I'm sure we will eventually see Tiffany Team sets in the future.
    Looking for Los Angeles/California/Anaheim Angels in PSA 8 or better

    Well, they allow 1975 Topps Mini to be used right along with regular '75 Topps. Since Tiffany, like Mini, is just a more limited version of the regular card, I'd think the answer would be yes.

    SADLY, Tiffany cards are not allowed into the REGISTRY TOPPS team sets; nor are Gold, or varieties such as Colorado Rockies Inauguals(1993) , Desert Storm(1991), Limited Ed.(2000). All of these are Topps issues, exactly like the regular cards. What do you TEAM SET builders think about this? If you have some some of these and you would have them graded IF they are then allowed into the team sets, would you do the grading? PSA would profit, our collections become enriched with true jewels.Gold and tiffanys are the primo editions of your favorite team members--- seems to be a no brainer to me;-)))) Your comments are requested.     Yes------ I would do more grade submissions - sending in tiffany, gold, varieties like Desert Storm. Since they are not to be included in the team sets registries, I will give my raw stuff to my nephews. Stay image Tony

    News from this past week regarding ebay purchases to be added soon to my team sets; Won a 1974 Topps #242 Bill Gogolewski PSA 10; a 1984 Topps #504 Mickey Rivers PSA 10; and tonight a 1976 Topps #226 Jim Sundberg PSA 10. Just thought I'd report on something other than point five grades. It seems that PSAs 10 are now really in a class by themselves. They're quite awesome- not too expensive and alot cheaper than Mantle 8.5s image Take care team set fans-- Let me hear from you soon. Tony
