if i'm not mistaken, the 1960-D Lincoln is a DDO where the Obverse was hubbed with both the Large and Small date Masters, so it doesn't qualify. the 1942/1 Mercs are true overdates, but they aren't the last struck.

any other guesses??

Assuming it's not the 1943/2-P Jefferson, I've got a sneaking suspecion that the latest overdate struck at the U.S. Mint is not a U.S. Coin.

The original question specified a U. S. "overdate" struck by the US Mint. So I would think it is the 43/2 five cent piece. Unless he is specifying "Overdate" because he is looking for a case where a DATE is punched in over another date rather than a doubled die for two different dated hubs. in that case I think it would be the 1901/0 eagle.

Conder is right on the ball - none of the 20th century series have overdates since the dates were not punched into the die. Because they were hubbed into the die, they are examples of class 3 doubled dies, dies hubbed with two different designs, most notably the date. This goes for the buffalo nickels, mercury dimes, Jefferson nickels, et/al. The last true overdate known would have to be from a series that began in the 1800s when the dates were punched into the dies individually.

And, by the way, there are no known Lincoln cents bearing more than one date. There are many with doubling in the date, but none known with two dates. The only published example of such an animal, the 1958/7 cent, was later disproven and is currently considered disproven by every die variety author in the industry.
