Possible New Ebay Bid Scam Software???

I am sure that I could be wrong, however, the last three coins that I won on ebay finished exactly on my highest bid. What are the odds of that? Could there be some new software out that bids up the price and then cancels its last bid once it finds out what your highest bid is?

The last one was a 1880-CC Morgan NGC MS65 that I won today for $787.00 ... which just happened to be my highest bid ... again!

Happens all the time, especially with CC Morgans. By the way, greysheet bid is over $1000 on that coin.

80-CC NGC MS65 for $787? Well done! Someone must have done a poor job listing it (incomplete information in the title), as I cannot find any current or sold 80-CC Morgans in 65 for that price.

I am not complaining about the prices that I paid, just wondering if it was more than coincidence three times in a row:

NGC 1880-CC MS65 ... $787.00 ... My highest bid.
NGC 1901-O MS66 ... $726.00 ... My highest bid.
NGC 1921-S MS65 ... $869.99 ... My highest bid.

That is unusual...as my understanding of eBay goes (which could be WAY off), someone was within $10 of your bid for each of those lots. Not impossible, of course.

The underbidder is a buying account for a seller.

That is an old fat keyless NGC holder. It should be very nice for the grade, and you basically stole it because of the crappy scan.

can't happen the way you described - once you are within the last 12 hours of the auction you can no longer retract your bids and and bids that are canceled by the seller will show in the bid history.

On 1921 you were the only bidder and won at opening bid.
On 1901 you had a bid in of 726 and somebody sniped 722 at end so your 726 won.
The 1880 at 787 was just one normal bump over the next high bid at 777.
