Ebay sellers that play games with their auction end times erk me off...

I was geared up and ready to bid on a coin at just shy of 2x the current bid when the seller canceled all the bids and closed the auction early. There were three other coins that the seller had that I was planning on bidding on as well. None had bids. As I looked at the closed auction, contemplating my next move, I decided I'd better click over to the next auction before it ended without my bid. Low-and-behold, it had been extended by a number of days. I looked at the other two auctions, same thing. It kind of hacked me off. I deleted the coins from my bookmarks and no longer plan on bidding on them.

Flame away....

  • that is sad.
  • I knew you could cancel an auction that had no bids on it, but I didn't know you could extend it. That would hack me off too.image

I can understand cancelling an auction if an error was made. Certainly this can be done within a day of listing instead of near the end time. I will not waste my time with sellers that close after a day or two listed, and I certainly will not stand for a seller extending the ending time. Total BS!image
I collect Capped Bust series by variety in PCGS AU/MS grades.
