Do it all the time. If I like it I buy it---for the right price.
I collect Capped Bust series by variety in PCGS AU/MS grades.

I must admit that I've never done this. I could recite every single coin with grade and designation that I have in my collection.

Yea, I was buying a 16-P Merc in high grade/FB, I ended up buying three different ones, they're all nice though!
