Just because I'm old doesn't mean I don't love to look at a pretty bust.

Within a week or so there will be one on the ANR website. We were consigned a 1812/1 Large 8 (the rare one) which will appear in our June Chicago sale. Half dollars begin session 1 of the sale, so it should be in the first 2-3 dozen lots once the auction goes online.

Ah - thanks guys - I wanted to see what one looked like because I just purchased an 1812 with what looked like something behind the 2, and a very mangled looking 8. I'll post a pic later or tomorrow - thanks! image

When checking for the 1812 overdate you want to look at the reverse: "AM joined at base and A is higher. N is recut near right base." as per Overton.

If you have this reverse, then you have one of the overdates.
I collect Capped Bust series by variety in PCGS AU/MS grades.

Another hint...with the large 8, if you "see" the overdate...it probably ain't!
