That's odd. When I click on the link, I go to the old site. Also, when I type in the address by hand, it still takes me to the old site. Anyone have any ideas?

They had an article on that on NPR a few weeks ago. It's an interesting concept and is supposedly being done off the coast of CA in international waters.

When you open internet explorer, click on the tools tab just to the right of 'Favorites'. At the bottom on the list is the Internet Options button. Click that and in the middle of the box that pops up in 'Temporary Internet Files' click 'Delete Files'. Now check the box that states 'Delete All Offline Content' and that will clear your cache. Then try the site again.
thanks and I tried it but I am still having issues. Maybe it is just my computer. I need to get it resolved before RYK comes back online and buys up all of their inventory.

<< <i>All these factors are currently benefiting the rare coin industry. In fact, there may never have been a time in history when so many positive things have converged to create a "perfect storm" of activity for our marketplace.
However, our industry has always been prone to volatility and it's important for the collector-investor community to understand the underlying reasons why their coins are appreciating in value and why business is so brisk for dealers. It is unlikely that a reversal in just one or two of the above-named factors would be enough to send the numismatic market into a bearish cycle. Of course, it is also possible that a reversal in just one factor could quickly affect other factors as well.
As we stated before, no one knows for sure how long this bull cycle will last. But anytime collector-investors and dealers are pressed to pay higher prices, its important to pay that much more attention to market fundamentals and know what's justifying those bigger premiums. >>
Nice new site but man, they do need to find a faster host. I'm on a cable connection and while you may not notice the snail-like loading times on a dial-up connection, waiting 5 seconds for a page to load on a cable connection makes you want to fall asleep. I can actually watch the pictures as they draw from top to bottom....lmao!
Eureka! I now have access to the new site. Pretty cool looking. I need to check it out more.

Thank you for your enthusiasm and kind words. The launch of our new website coupled with a new software package is producing a number of those inevitable "glitches" (including downed e-mail). We thank you for your patience while we work through them as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Thanks for the link. For some reason I would hit the firewall when trying to log on to Pinnacle. They must have changed smoething on there site.

I like the overall look and feel of the new site. The navigation seems easy.
Here are my constructive criticisms:
It's kind of hard to explain, but it always bugs me when I go to a site and the page is resized and jumps around as design elements are loading. Maybe it's just the server speed, as others have mentioned here, but it's annoying at the very least when the button you want to click on keeps moving around as the page is loaded.
The magnifier seems gimmicky and not very useful. At 2x, it's ok but I don't like seeing small parts of the coin. At 4x and higher, the images are pixelated and not useful at all. I firmly believe that simple is better - just show a small photo that you can click on to see a large image.
Ken
Edited to add: I just saw the "Large Image" link...duh!
I think the new site is quite well done and a big improvement over the older site.
One suggestion however....
I wish all the "Larger Images", those that come up when you press the Larger Image button were of the approximate size of 600x600 pixels. Some on the site are this size but many are much smaller (around 325x325). I love the ability the large size gives you to view strike, imperfections, etc. These things are just not nearly as apparent with the smaller image size.
I agree that the magnifier is not useful because the pictures get pixelated (spelling?) when you magnify and you cannot see the surface of the coin. ANR has a nice magnifier, but I don't think it has an option to go 4x or 6x like the one on Pinnacle's site.
I like the listing of coins that come up during a "search", but it would be better if a coin was designed as "on hold" on the summary page, rather than having to click on each coin to see if it is available or not (maybe I'm just too lazy to do one more click so it is probably not a big deal).
I like the fact that you can register on the site. However, I wonder if the Pinnacle webmaster chuckles when he sees me viewing coins that I cannot hope to ever be able to afford.
I like the want list feature, but I probably won't use it because I've been trained to subconsciously press the refresh button all day long on my computer to see if their inventory changes. It's hard to break a habit.
If I think of anything else I will report again.

The layout of the site is excellent, and the colors pleasing. However, the experience is ruined by the addition of Flash. Why do site designers think this crap is necessary? It slows loading times, doesn't work for many users and is just plain annoying.
I'm probably being overly critical, which would be nothing new, but I don't care for the new site as much as the old site. The points being-
1) The write up for each coin can only be read after clicking the link to view the coin and I liked the previous option of simply reading about the coins and then clicking those that sound interesting.
2) Too many frames to view, a simpler design seems better to me.
3) It might be due to new site glitches, but the site has been awfully slow in loading images or text using both dial up and ethernet.
Again, all of your comments (both good and bad) are appreciated. In response to a few:
SOLID: It sounds like you already discovered the "Larger Image" feature which should be helpful. I really like the 2x magnification option but I'll concede that the 4x and 6x feature won't be very useful to most viewers.
ALABILL: We are in the process of re-imaging all the coins listed in inventory. Eventually, they will all be in a uniform pixel size of 650x650.
LONGACRE: We will have "On Hold" or "Sale Pending" capability by week's end. Thanks for pointing this out to us.
RUSS: You raise a good question and it seems that others share your observation. But you're the computer guy! So WHY is it that our designer (as well as most others) do use flash?? I'll ask our guys later, but would like to hear your response first.
TOMB: Our polling indicated that collectors preferred the ability to read a coin's description, pop data, etc. and its image all on the same page. Re "too many frames" -- were you referring to too many separate windows, or too many frames within a single page?

<< <i>RUSS: You raise a good question and it seems that others share your observation. But you're the computer guy! So WHY is it that our designer (as well as most others) do use flash?? >>
Because geeks think it's cool. It's all about one-upping the geek competition by having as many fancy bells and whistles as possible. There is no consideration given to load times and the fact that many users don't even have the latest version of Flash installed. This type of thing is fine for a vanity site or a showcase site, but has no place on a commercial business site where even the most minor annoyance can cause the visitor to move on without shopping.
The best web designer I've ever known does not use Flash for the sites he develops for his business clientele.

Todd you deserve an applause for taking the extra time to improve your website based on Forum Members input! Good on Ya! Sounds like "Customer Service" at it's best.
Good job on the new website. Thanks for responding to our input.
I agree with Russ on the Flash thing. I find little redeeming value in Flash output on a commerical website. Plus, it is difficult to change and it takes a webdesigner to do so.
I was refering to the modular manner in which the site loaded on my computer and how the entire site had a tendancy to "dance" up and down as more modules appeared. This did not happen when I just went back to your site, so perhaps it was a glitch.
Who did you poll about the layout of the site? I ask because I have been a steady customer of Pinnacle for years and you not only have my email address, but you also have my work and cell phone numbers. In fact, I received a phone call at work a few months ago from Pinnacle to talk coins, but not to talk about any new site.
