1980 Topps: What caused these 2 indentions?

From my wax boxes of 1980 Topps I am seeing several cards w/ similar indentions on the right hand area of the card. Look at the back of the card near ("Bats:Right") and ("Throws:Right") and you will see what I am talking about.

Are these marking from cutting or getting banged around inside the box? If they are from cutting, do grades leniently smile upon them or frown sadly when grading?

Thanks again SoFLPhillyFan, I am braindead apparently.

  • My guess is the indentations may have been caused by the stick of gum. If that was one of the bottom few cards in the pack, the gum on the top of the pack under it may be the culprit. image

looks to be from the packing machine. i would expect the grader to look at this as a card flaw and grade accordingly. IMO
