First strike/early date Bison hype.

What's up with it?
I mean I know what's up, but I was wondering if there is any validity to it.
I'll watch some Ebay Bison nickel auctions from time to time just to see what they're doing, and I've been noticing sellers hyping up their Mint wrapped two-roll sets because of the date on the box. They're claiming that the Mint had to stop production for a while to sort out "glitches" that were causing "error" coins. Then they cite the speared Bison and this 5 legged Bison, which shows some doubling actually and nothing near a fifth leg, and also some "sintered planchet" coins too.
Is it true that the mint had to "STOP THE PRESSES!" so to speak to "sort out glitches"?
The latest auction was boasting about the date on the boxes being 3/10/05, and they closed at twice the Mints sale price. Not a huge profit, but considering they're still very available directly from the Mint at half that price, it's not bad.
So I looked at my boxes and Pfffftt, they're dated 2/09/05 or 2/10/05. Heck, mine must be FILLED with errors then. I can't wait to hype mine up *sarcasm* I did notice on the couple boxes I opened thet there were those rolls that are longer than the other roll. P longer than D I think it is, and I've noticed those too sell for premiums. Again, bfd. Longer rolls, ohhhhhhhhhh.
While I'm at it, a quick rant: It annoys me sellers that claim and hype "first strikes!" First of all, if you want a first strike, the Mint sells those specific coins and they come with certificates of authenticity stating them as such. Second, big deal, and just because someone may have ordered them the day they go on sale really does not make them any more special. You can get a batch months into the release, and maybe that batch came from a first strike with a new set of dies. Who really knows? It just bugs me they use those kind of key words in an attempt to suck people into their auctions. I guess if customers bite......
The other pebble in my shoe is when you see "who knows what is in these rolls" or "who knows what you'll find". You know what you'll find in those rolls - NICKELS! That's what you'll find!! Dinged up nickels!!! You see that hype on auctions selling unopened proof sets too. Save for the rare cameo you know what you'll find - COINS! Nothing worth thousands of dollars, but regular ol' coins!!
