The Yanks Sucked Today

It didn't help that the Yanks had a bad call and that Korean pitcher was out by a mile.

To add insult to injury I had to suffer through Tim McCarver's JIBBERISH.

Why don't you mention the great game Benson threw - and the fact that the big unit (not worthy of caps anymore) gave up 12 hits in 6.2 innings, along with 4 earned runs? You mention only a bad call? Give the Mets props - they deserved it today.

Yes, Benson pitched great and Johnnson didn't have a good game but many of those 12 hits were not hit hard and skipped through the infield. Cairo got a hold of one though.

sheffield was not in the line up and that makes a big difference. He rarely has a game where he does not get on base.

Yes, the Mets do get credit for beating up on Johnson, even if it were with just infield hits that bounce out.

I didn't see the game, so I don't know - why was Sheffield out? Also, I heard Jeter left the game early...

Jeter got hit by a Benson pitch in the elbow. You could see the swelling. The preliminary X-rays were negative. I don't know why Jeter does not wear elbow pads. Beltran and Mets Matsui also left the game with some kind of pulled muscles.
