  • I don't think PCGS did "First Strike" designations before 2005, but that doesn't mean that the qualifications can't still be met. The way I understand is that If you have a mint sealed "Green Monster Box" of SAEs with a the dated mint invoice showing that they were produced in the desired time frame (still not exactly sure what constitutes "First Strike") PCGS will give them the designation.

    Interesting picture. PCGS did NOT do "First Strike"s before 2005 (Although as mentioned MAYBE they would do earlier years if you submitted sealed monsterboxes that had an packing dates inside them. Of course how would you know which box to send? An invoice, as mentioned by another post, wouldn't be go enough. It would have to have the packing slip inside the sealed box.) As for the picture, those two are faked. The label fonts aren't right (different from the 2005 pieces and different from each other) and the serial numbers are faked.
