seller reserve's right not to sell ??????

If you read this sellers sales pitch about 2/3's of the way down he state's that I reserve the right not to sell to the high bidder.

I thought the item goes to the high bidder. Does this not go against ebay's policy ?

Why doesn't he just put a reserve on it then, if is afraid he is not going to get what he wants for it?

In deference to SGC, that's an old flip - and this is a different company set up with other graders etc. I believe.

  • Stingray, my guess is he doesn't put a reserve cause it costs extra money(i think u pay more for a higher reserve). Yeh I hate it when folks put that crap in their auction. It makes an auction pointless if the seller can bail out at anytime. I bet the seller prob saves even more by not having to pay final auction costs from ebay cause they sell outside of ebay(almost as if using ebay as advertisement for their product).

Yeah it's against their policy. Just as the high bidder is binding to purchase the item, the seller is also binding to sell the item.
