Versions of the 1924 Poland 2 zlote, and also the 1925 Poland 2 zlote, were struck at the Philadelphia mint.

  • In the late 1940's Aramco (Arabian American Oil Company ) got the Philadelphia Mint to make 1 and 4 pound gold bullion pieces, for payments to both the Saudi Kingdom and the oil workers contracted over there.
    KM-035
    KM-034

These pieces can be quite rare and I think there was a large number of copies made in the early 70's.

The first of them were 1855 Peruvian patterns. The most recent auction appearance of these coins was at Pittman III.

I have the 1972 edition and it lists far more, in great detail. Seth, I'll bring it to LB and you can play with it for a bit.
