1923 grade

Just recieved a coin back from NGC yesterday...

My 1923 Lincoln Cent....and the grade it got was MS 66 RB

What is this worth?

I can only find things that go up to MS 65.

Thanks guys,

Fred

PCGS Price Guide says $275 for your coin. Probably less in an NGC slab. Must be rare in that grade because 74.7 million were minted.

Now I saw that an MS 66 RD would go for like $1700.

And I saw a MS 65 RD would go for $350 to $450.

$275? I'd never even dream about letting it go for that!

    Thanks,

    Fred

You need to check what you are comparing. There is a big difference between RD(red) and RB(redbrown).

    $275 is correct for a 66RB, $1400 would be correct for a 66 RD.

RD is much more expensive than RB.

How about someone with the Greysheet posting some "real" numbers for Fred?

Greysheet prices aren't "real" either for high end early Lincolns.

Must be a beautiful coin to go 66RB

If it were in a PCGS 66RB holder, then I would feel comfortable buying it for $450 (or $500 if it was really nice.) In an NGC holder, $275 is about right.
