    That is correct.

There is a value limit on the cards for these specials. The individual card must be valued under $500.

Is that beckett value or smr value? Just curious because I have a Ryan rookie I was going to send in using the May special that should grade a 4-5(there was a thread about it) putting the value at about 250. But the beckett value is 500. Interested to know the answer to this image.

  • I would assume since we are talking PSA, we are talking SMR value.
Baseball is my Pastime, Football is my Passion
  • But for SMR value you need the card to be graded already, right? Thats why I ask.

Isn't this a really grey area? I mean, the grades PSA give the cards determine its worth right? I have a great 78 Eddie Murray to submit. Right now in raw form I might get $80 for it. PSA 10 means over 1,000, PSA 9 means over $250. How is one supposed to stick a value on a card before its graded? Isn't that kind of like the submitter grading the card himself in a way?

Just submit it and they will contact you if there is a problem. I think they mean the value currently of the card, in raw form.

It is declared value.... vintage is smr 6 value and modern is smr 8.. I cant remember the cut off year , but if you have a 50's card that has smr 6 value under $500 send it in

As to what carolj said... and i believe she is from psa..

There is not a $500 limit on the may collectors $12/5 . Please show me where if there is!!!

carolj stated that "There is a value limit on the cards for these specials. The individual card must be valued under $500.

I am assuming the word "these" would mean both specials.

There was a thread on this at the start of the month.... People, me included, were talking about sending in the high dollar cards. I sent in 12 cards and 4 were valued over $500 and one over $1000 and they were graded and returned with no hold ups. I think she might have been going on past specials. Would be nice to get an answer Monday.
