When will a company have the cahoonas to....

Produce Pete Rose cards? Is there a reason why no one does? Does it have something to do with his ban from MLB? Does it have to do with contracts between Rose and the card companies?
Anyone think any of the companies are sitting on Pete Rose game used items?

Maybe I should also ask....does anyone care? LOL

But now a small rant about Pete Rose not being in the HOF....
Yes yes yes...we all agree that what he did was wrong. We have all heard the arguements of comparing what he did to those who continue to get caught with drugs or beat their wives, etc...but this rant isnt about that. Rose made his contribution to baseball and he belongs in the Hall. Damn those in Cooperstown who refuse to put him on the ballot and let the voters decide. (though they would probably be afraid to vote him in) The Hall of Fame continues to state that they have no legal affiliations with MLB but still dont have the guts to put him in. You dont have to like the man to give him the recognition he deserves. And Shoeless Joe Jackson too! And that's all I got to say about that. (Thank you, Forrest)

    on a side note, I was out in Vegas last weekend and ole Pete was signing autographs at Caesar's Palace...

    It's pretty funny and sad at the same time but he'll do anything for a buck. Every year during the induction ceremonies in Cooperstown, he sets up a booth and signs.

    They can let Rose in the hall after he waits as long as Shoeless Joe Jackson.....

    That's exactly what the problem is. Any company that puts Pete on a card won't be able to secure/keep an MLB license for their other sets. Having no MLB license would be a death knell for a set nowadays.

    So their choices are:

    1) Produce a set of cards of Pete and maybe other old-timers

    or

    2) Produce sets that include current players and anybody else other than Pete

    Easy choice.
