A little silver in half rolls

Just to let you all know it's still out there...

I got four rolls of halves from a local bank today.
1 1964-D
1 1967
3 1968-D
1 1969-D

Condition isn't nice but they are silver.

Most tellers at my bank seem to groan whenever I walk in to deposit my paycheck. I ask for a little cash back, and the new tellers are polite enough to ask "and how would you like that back, sir?" They don't understand my request for Spanish pieces of eight or golden doubloons. A new teller or two has actually looked for a roll of Sac dollars, which my bank never seems to have. If I ask for half dollars, they never have any of these either.

If the bank does not have want you want tell them to get it or close your account and find a bank who will give you half dollars or Sacajewea dollars. You know how they all advertise their service is the best. Hold them accountable. My head teller told me all any bank has to do is order what they want from their armored car service and they get it. Like Brinks or AT Systems. Talk to the bank manager about making good on their advertising which is always how wonderful and helpful they aim to be! It worked for me.

A different bank (actually a credit union) got another box of halves for me without me asking simply because I would stop by and ask for a few rolls every few weeks. At the time I wasn't even an account holder. I have a CD there only because they were paying a higher rate than their competition when I got the CD.

I am usually nice and very polite. Being nice has worked very well for me.

Bingo. So many places are lazy and refuse to do it. I've even had vault tellers tell me "We can't order coins, they just send us whatever they have." No elaboration on who "they" was. It's like anything else: so many people who work at banks are clueless or just plain lazy. And some are the nicest people you could ask to meet. Go figure.
I heard they were making a French version of Medal of Honor. I wonder how many hotkeys it'll have for "surrender."
