Modern Proof Lincoln Lovers - Need Some Help Finding My Final 3 Coins Please !!!

I've been putting this set together for the past year and have come to a cross-road. I've been searching for the following coins the entire time with very little luck:

1961 PR69 DCAM PCGS
1962 PR69 DCAM PCGS
1969-S PR69 DCAM PCGS

Can anyone suggest where to aquire these last 3 coins. I've tried the following:

- Made Some from Proof Sets
- Purchased from BST
- Purchased from Forum Members
- Ebay
- Heritage
- TeleTrade
- Other Internet Auction Sites
- Gone to major shows

None of these have proven to help just yet. Any suggestions would be appriciated.

    Rock,

Those are just moderns. You should be able to find those anywhere and everywhere.image

GOD, I wish you were right my friend. There must be a magical Lincoln chest buried somewhere with all these. LOL

Keep looking - you must be patient if assembling a high end proof cameo set. Took me over a decade to put my Registry sets together.

One must have the tenacity of a Badger to find nice pieces. image

Personally, I find little satisfaction in putting a set together if all I have to do is whip out my checkbook and buy the coins in a short period of time. I enjoy the thrill of the hunt and the satisfaction of making many of the pieces in my set by painstakingly looking thru proof sets, dealer cases, and the internet.

Thanks. Sorry about that, my fingers got a head of me. You are correct, the 61 & 62 are not S's. I tried wondercoin right after MadMarty, but no luck. Mitch had a 69-S, but it's gone to Heritage. I'll try coinguy1. Thanks for the help, I'll edit the thread.

Good luck with the search for those coins. Yes, I did send a 1969(s) Lincoln in PCGS-PR69DCAM to the upcoming Long Beach Heritage sale. It is Lot # 5289 and is being sold without any reserve whatsoever. The coin is currently at $325 plus buyers' fee.

You are going to have a lot of competition when a 61 or 62 pop up! image

Got the cash. It will all depend on who wants it most. I'm willing to go way over list if I have to.

One strategy is to pay up for your primary collection as you suggest Rock. I don't see a problem with that strategy. Especially if you buy effectively in all other categories and sell to get $ for the primary collection.
