1951 wax packs and box on e-bay

These are pretty neat packs. They pail in comparison to '51 Bowman and even Blue Backs, but pretty cool they're still intact 50+ years later.

I suppose there aren't any unopened '51 bowman floating around anywhere huh?

what is the likelihood one breaks even busting those packs if it costs $5k+ for the lot?

Red Backs generally are not worth that much considering their age. I would be surprized if the lot went for $5K.

I may be wrong but under the right light you can almost see which cards are in the packs..........hence the few high high value cards are probably not in the lot.............

There are lots of these unopened packs around. I don't think you'll have an easy time flipping them one at a time for a profit. The demand really is not that strong for these cards.

On both the packs I have you can see who the player is. The second one I got turned out to be Duke Snider although the seller never mentioned it in the auction listing.

I"m with Steve. They come up almost weekly- and seem to be very readily available for $60-85. each, graded. I paid 65. for mine a year ago and they certainly haven't appreciated.

Always looking for Topps Salesman Samples, pre '51 unopened packs, E90-2, E91a, N690 Kalamazoo Bats, and T204 Square Frame Ramly's
