Just got my MS66* 1881-S Morgan back from NGC... now what caused the toning?
I just got this sucker back from a crossover at NGC (ANACS MS66 --> NGC MS66*
)
At Baltimore, I showed this to TBT, who said he thought the reverse to be, possibly, endroller, not a bag toner as I had first figured (I hadn't thought about it much... and then I sent it off)... it's got bag colors, but the line at the top could be from a fold--whether from a roll, or in the bag itself. So, what do you think of the source of the toning?
Edited to add: It's obvious that the obverse was in a bag, based on the very thin crescent.
It's good to have this one back home... blazing and colorful

It may be an endroller, but I don't think so.
I actually like the obverse better than the reverse.

It went in at the end of March... it was done about two weeks ago. This was an earlybird
It's you good fortune too IMHO.

Yet this one picked up about zero contact marks... does this explain some possible reasons for many bag toners to be very chattery (apart from them just being jingled in bags)?
