1992-D Close AM Lincoln Cent

anoldgoatanoldgoat Posts: 1,493 ✭✭✭
I posted this thread of a 1992-D earlier today that I think is a close am. A copue other board members think so also.

I searched the forums here and found this thread.

Does PCGS attribute these yet. Is it worth doing so. I'd only certify if it was worth selling otherwise it goes in my Dansco Lincoln album in a blank hole. Can't find any info with a google search. Nothing on ebay either.

Thanks,

Mike

Yes PCGS does attribute them the coin number is 83101. They have 1 graded right now.
Great find and I would consider sending it to someone for their opinion if you are not sure.

    Thanks Joe.

I'm fairly sure it's a close am. I have a few 1998s and 2000s to compare to. I 'd read an artical somewere some time ago that they were scarce or something like that so wasn't sure I was seeing it right. Ever since that 1955 DDO on the sidewalk in the '50s I ain't found squat, and that went in a gumball machine. I'd certify if I thought it would bring a good amount otherwise I'd keep it. It is a cool find, I just don't know how scarce it is or it's value.

Thanks again for pointing out that PCGS now certifies these.

    Mike,

Yes they are RARE. I would get it certified.

Thanks all, I think I will. I'll check PCGS's submission policy.

    Thanks again for the input.image
